Memorial Day at the Sarasota National Cemetary
Our Next Mission (ONM) appreciated a wonderful Veteran’s Day event on 11/9, hosted by our friends at the Lakewood Ranch Country Club East HOA. We’re grateful for our Board members who were able to attend and special thanks to the ONM team of Terry, Russell and Tom for setting up our table. Terry and Jim Dunne, our Korean War veteran from Pescara Lake, did a great job in presenting Our Next Mission to the community. We won’t know until early December how much was raised but last year’s event raised almost $4K.
We had several residents who signed up to work with us and that is fantastic. One of the residents is a retired structural engineer who has offered to help us with our “flying carport” challenges, as carports are required in some communities.
Our Next Mission now has a Profile established on The Giving Partner website. The Giving Partner is a powerful online resource presented by the Community Foundation of Sarasota County. This tool helps donors, funders, and community members understand more about nonprofits in our region and discover how to engage in the causes they care about. Click below for more information:

We are so happy to help another family have a decent place they can call “Home”. Meet Stanford (aka Stan a disabled VET) and Lauren, Cali (6), Johnathan (4), and William (1). Stan served our country for 11yrs and was honorably discharged after completion of active service. Stan is still an active reservist too!
Ruth Barker & Faith Michael, of the TuesdayLIVE group of Harvest UMC, made a beautiful presentation of gift cards to Loren (far right) on May 7th at their new home in Bradenton. That proud guy in the center is ONM's President Greg Kisela. Many thanks to the many volunteers and organizations who made this a success Finally, three cheers to Habitat for Humanity Manatee for continuing to make a BIG difference in our community!
